The Making Of Pizza Base
To Make: 2 Pizza Crusts
- Goglufree Brown Rice Bread Flour - 400g
- Olive Oil - 30g
- Water - 220g
- Sea Salt - 5g
- Yeast - 8g
- Eggs - 2
If you only want to make one crust, simply halve the ingredients above.
Prepare 2 pizza pans (33 cm). If you can't find the same size, you can choose pans between 30-35 cm.
You can refer to the following dough-making method for preparing pizza dough. You only need to adjust the ingredients accordingly. I will simplify these steps here.
1. Original Rice Bread Recipe
We'll start directly from the prepared dough here...
After the dough is prepared, add some olive oil.
Brush a layer of olive oil onto the baking tray.
Divide the dough into two equal parts.
Put on gloves and evenly spread the olive oil over the entire dough. Next, use your hands to flatten the dough, and then slowly push the dough into each corner of the baking tray.
Use a bench scraper to trim the edges of the pizza dough.
Once finished, let the pizza dough rest for 15-20 minutes to allow it to rise—this is just an approximate time. You can also use this time to preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) for 20 minutes.
After the pizza dough has finished rising, use a fork to prick holes all over the surface of the dough.
Place it in the oven at 180°C (350°F) and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until it is 50% cooked.
While the crust is baking, you can prepare the pizza toppings. Once the crust is baked, let it cool slightly before adding the toppings. This will help the pizza crust stay crispier.
If you’re not using the dough immediately, you can wrap it in plastic wrap and freeze it for later use.
